What a Weekend

We left Thursday to go up to Logan around 3:30. Really nice drive. We got there after a stop at Wal-Mart to get some last minute things around 4:40. We unloaded the car and headed for dinner. We went to Ruby Tuesdays. Afterword we headed for Romney Stadium to see T Minus 5 in concert and the firework show. I can honestly say Logan City puts on a great show. I think that they spent their whole entire budget for the year on the firework show. Minus two things--well one person and one thing... it was wonderful, Bob Bennett came and thought we all needed a history lesson on America and Logan City needs to hire some more competent police officers especially that no how to direct traffic.

Friday we slept in and then went to check out the Car Show. Kids weren't really impressed with that so we went to breakfast, went to the bowling alley, went to the mall to shop, and headed over to the fairgrounds to have something to eat before the concert. Before getting something to eat we went over to see how many people were in line for the concert. Well at 4 there was already a line so we got in line and stayed there to hang out. The boys in front of us were from Bountiful and really knew how to show their support for Styx. Check out the photo below:
After standing in the hot sun for over two and half hours we were able to get the best seats we have ever had for a concert. We were six rows from the front of the stage.

The concert began a hour and half later. At first Derek and I were worried Devin wasn't having fun. But then He got used to things and started having fun. He was having a hard time seeing so some guy (drunk may I add---no alcohol allowed but he was able to find a way to bring it in.) let him stand in front of him and then He lifted him onto his shoulders talk about scared. After I saved him and got him down, Keara and him stood in front of the guy and watched the concert. At which point the security let us go right up front to see the remainder of the concert. It was a cool thing. The kids and I were right there at the barricades. Devin was very lucky and was I happy, Tommy Shaw threw a pick right to him. It hit his chest and dropped in front of the barricade the nice lady next to him leaned down and reached it for him. He was so excited he went back to show Derek. Keara stayed up front with me for a little bit longer before going back to Derek. The security guard of course said no pictures but how can you let this opportunity pass. I was able to get some awesome pictures I have added a couple of my favorite ones below.

After my favorite song Renegade. I went back to make sure the kids were ok and made it back to Derek. After the concert Derek shows me something that as we were up at the front he got. What are the odds of getting this: But after Derek told me how he got it. Let's see Tommy threw it and he went to grab along with how many other people. A pre-teen or young teenager who was sitting behind him went for it at the same time when she got there her and Derek ran into each other. She fell down and Derek picked up the bottled water. I agreed with him and we gave it back to her after taking some pictures. So needless to say we had an awesome time.

Saturday we spent time visiting some of local food attractions and swimming at the hotel. Went to a great steakhouse and got some board games that we don't own and played games in the hotel.

Sunday we woke up and got home around 11. To our surprise to a fridgerator that decided to go out while we were gone. After spending almost a half hour cleaning it up and getting all the coolers filled with the condoments that didn't go bad. We went to the movies to see The Incredible Hulk and Kitt Kiddridge. They were both good. We went to get some dinner in between the movies and afterwards took the kids to Cold Stone.
Unfortunately we have to go back to the real world tomorrow. Yeah ! Sarcasm intended. Until next time enjoy.

Sounds like you had a good time. Gotta love those long weekends when you can get away from the home.
