After standing in the hot sun for over two and half hours we were able to get the best seats we have ever had for a concert. We were six rows from the front of the stage.
The concert began a hour and half later. At first Derek and I were worried Devin wasn't having fun. But then He got used to things and started having fun. He was having a hard time seeing so some guy (drunk may I add---no alcohol allowed but he was able to find a way to bring it in.) let him stand in front of him and then He lifted him onto his shoulders talk about scared. After I saved him and got him down, Keara and him stood in front of the guy and watched the concert. At which point the security let us go right up front to see the remainder of the concert. It was a cool thing. The kids and I were right there at the barricades. Devin was very lucky and was I happy, Tommy Shaw threw a pick right to him. It hit his chest and dropped in front of the barricade the nice lady next to him leaned down and reached it for him. He was so excited he went back to show Derek. Keara stayed up front with me for a little bit longer before going back to Derek. The security guard of course said no pictures but how can you let this opportunity pass. I was able to get some awesome pictures I have added a couple of my favorite ones below.
After my favorite song Renegade. I went back to make sure the kids were ok and made it back to Derek. After the concert Derek shows me something that as we were up at the front he got. What are the odds of getting this: But after Derek told me how he got it. Let's see Tommy threw it and he went to grab along with how many other people. A pre-teen or young teenager who was sitting behind him went for it at the same time when she got there her and Derek ran into each other. She fell down and Derek picked up the bottled water. I agreed with him and we gave it back to her after taking some pictures. So needless to say we had an awesome time.

Sounds like you had a good time. Gotta love those long weekends when you can get away from the home.
